Brooke Kooken Silard, Office Manager & Client Associate
Brooke Kooken Silard has joined the Academy Realty Team as the Office Manager and Client Associate. She is a native of Maryland and graduate of the University of Maryland, where she majored in Spanish Language and Literature. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed a post-graduate program at Georgetown University in Paralegal Studies. Brooke has worked in the Washington, D.C. and Maryland legal communities for over 30 years both as an office administrator and senior litigation paralegal. While working in a legal administration capacity for an international law firm, she assisted with opening an office in Brussels, Belgium. During this hectic period in her work life, Brooke donated a kidney to a family member. She is frequently asked to speak about her experiences with organ donation. She and her husband Kevin live in the Herald Harbor Community of Crownsville, MD, where she enjoys fishing, kayaking, hiking. Brooke never misses a men's or women's Terps basketball game! Brooke is committed to providing the best administrative services to Academy’s clients and looks forward to obtaining her real estate license in the Spring of 2017.
Nick Papaleonti, Office Assistant
Nick Papaleontii has joined our staff as an Office Assistant. In addition to his part-time work in our office, Nick is training to become a professional firefighter and studying Business Management at the University of Maryland, University College. Nick grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and his "can-do" attitude is already fitting in nicely with our very busy office. Welcome Nick!!
Deb Leopold, Marketing Manager
Deb Leopold runs Deb'sWeb and specializes in producing web content that makes her clients stand out from the crowd. Her clients include Academy Realty, Protocol Partners, J Street Group, The Etiquette Advocate, Du Plain Global, PA State Society, The Ortho-K Center, and more. She is the former President of First Class, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) continuing education program. While President of First Class, her marketing efforts won her several awards and landed her business on the pages of Glamour Magazine, the Washington Business Journal, The Washington Post Magazine, City Paper and all the major television channels. LERN (The Learning Resources Network) named her the national top marketer of adult education two years in a row and recognized her website as one of the top five in the country.
